Thai Acrylic Fibre Co., Ltd. (TAF) has launched a new designer collection of flat knits with Radianza™ fibre. The collection is designed by Jenny Germer, a Germany based designer and is knitted by P. Siam Knitting Factory, a flat-knit company in Thailand.
“Over the last few years, Radianza™ has gained popularity as a sustainable product. The gel-dyeing technology behind Radianza™ makes it one of the most eco-friendly fibres in the world. At the same time, the range of shades that can be achieved with Radianza™ is unparalleled. We have developed more than 200 shades and continue to develop more and more. This new collection is a testimony to the various possibilities that Radianza™ offers on design and fashion.” said Ashwini Chotani, the Chief Marketing Officer of TAF.
“I was contacted by TAF a few years ago about Radianza™. It is a very interesting materials as people always think about natural resources when talk about sustainability. But the production process of Radianza™ actually saves a lot of natural resources during manufacturing. So I had an inspiration and collaboration working with them to design a collection with Radianza™ which is quite fun as they have more than 200 shades for me to play around.,” said Jenny Germer, a well-known flat knit designer for global brands.
“We have been working with various materials in flat knit products like acrylic, cotton, nylon blends, wool, etc. Many of your customers now are asking about eco-friendly materials and when TAF came to talk about Radianza™, I think it is amazing how much water is saved by producing just one sweater.” said Korawit Suchadapong, Managing Director of P Siam Knitting Factory.
